1000 series: Belongs to the pure aluminum series, has good ductility, electrical conductivity and corrosion resistance, but relatively low strength, often used in food packaging, capacitor housing, etc.

2000 series: With copper as the main alloying element, it has high strength and hardness, but poor corrosion resistance, and is often used in aerospace, transportation and other fields.

3000 series: With manganese as the main alloying element, it not only maintains good formability and corrosion resistance, but also improves strength. It is widely used in construction, kitchenware, chemical containers and other fields.

5000 series: With magnesium as the main alloying element, it has excellent corrosion resistance, good weldability and high strength. It is one of the most widely used aluminum alloys and plays an important role in building curtain walls, shipbuilding, refrigeration equipment and other fields.

6000 series: With silicon and magnesium as the main alloying elements, it can obtain higher strength and hardness through heat treatment while maintaining good corrosion resistance. It is often used in structural parts that need to withstand greater stress, such as bridges, rail vehicles, etc.

7000 series: With zinc as the main alloying element, it is one of the strongest series in aluminum alloys, and it also has good resistance to stress corrosion cracking. Due to its high cost and difficulty in processing, it is mostly used in high-end aerospace fields and high-performance sports equipment.

The more commonly used 8000 series is 8011, which belongs to other series. It is an aluminum plate with the main function of making bottle caps, and is also used in radiators. Most of the applications are aluminum foil. Not very commonly used.

The 9000 series belongs to the backup series. With such advanced technology, in order to cope with the emergence of aluminum plates containing other alloying elements, the International Aluminum Plate and Strip Federation specifically stated that the 9000 series is a backup series, waiting for another new variety to appear to fill the gap in the 9000 series.
